While I’m really into Rocks and all, I also enjoy photography.  When I have an opportunity to mix the two.  Just recently I entered five pictures in a juried student show being held at school.  When I found out that I got two of my images chosen, I was so excited.  Of course I was even more excited when my mix of Geology and Photography was one of them.  If want to see more of my photos check out my photoblog at DragonMountainTreasures.com/photos.  It has a lot of pictures of rocks, cats, and any thing I think is interesting.

Well, after over 300 orders for the holiday… there are bound to be some very happy little rock hound kids out there!

We were certainly extremely busy and at times overwhelmed… but we managed to get all the orders out the door!  They are arriving up to this week and we hope that everyone gets their orders in time for the holidays!  We had so much to do… oh my gosh!

A lot of our material comes in large and we have to crack and adjust it’s size to fit our kits and such.  Jessy doesn’t mind though, she likes to take her agression out on the stuff!  (not really, she just likes using her rock hammer and pretending she’s out on a summer dig….)

We sent out so many boxes that every day was a trip to the post office.   When our old black rockmobile decided it needed a vacation at the shop for awhile, our friend Jeff became a temporary honorary rock hound delivery man and hauled a LOT of packages back and forth to the post office for us for that long two weeks!   We need to hire him next year because he really knows his stuff now.  We are all just happy to have all the orders out the door and on their way to kids for Christmas day!
